Nowadays, the use of marijuana has been a rampant problem and there is a great necessity for wider promotion of why to quit smoking weed is a need.
The sad part about smoking weed is it has become a trend of today’s generation despite some laws and institution implementing prohibition. Undoubtedly, the media and the entertainment industry are partly an influence of this phenomenon.
Take for example the celebrities who openly admit in an interview that they had been smoking weed or marijuana without any hint of remorse.
There are also singers who have had a lot of weed references in their songs and people hear the words weed and marijuana as if they are the best words in the world.
Recently, lots of marijuana legalization campaign has been held with famous people and celebrities at the forefront of the activists. These incidents show how media and celebrities unconsciously inflict to the minds of the people that it is perfectly okay to smoke weed.

Why to quit smoking weed is a need?
If you think smoking weed or marijuana makes you a superstar, you are completely wrong. Smoking weed has health hazards proven by scientific research that you cannot just ignore.
There are side effects that can be seemingly innocent at first and it appears to help increase your appetite but later you’ll realize it is leading you to a threatening lung cancer. Research has shown that when marijuana is inhaled, it is usually held in four times longer than cigarette smoke.
This allows tar and other chemicals to be absorbed into the lungs. Those people who smoke weed also usually face same respiratory problems like regular smokers.
These include wheezing,
difficulty in breathing and bronchitis. One of the main effects of marijuana is an increased likelihood for accidents. Studies show that out of fatal accidents recorded each year, six to ten percent of it is contributed to marijuana side effects.
These are usually accidents where people were driving their cars under the influence of weed. Paranoia, sleepiness, and altered time perception are also just few of marijuana side effects.
What are other reasons why to quit smoking weed?
The problem with marijuana is it can be easily consumed without noticing you’ve already been over dosed. You can actually smoke, eat or use any other means to consume it and most often the effect does not come right away.
Though the effects may vary from increased appetite to lung cancer, one thing is for sure, they are all bad side effects. Worse, there are also effects that are disastrous to the brain.
Studies have shown that depression is one of the main symptoms that are carried along with weed addiction. If you are depressed, never ever try marijuana, or you’ll end up getting more depressed and the tendency is you’ll commit suicide.
Not only cancer, but research has shown that abuse of drugs such marijuana can also increase the heart and blood rate which also increase the rate of strokes and heart attacks.
The effects of smoking marijuana is more than just the health and mental problems you could get but also it steals your healthy relationship with your friends and family.
Always, addiction leads to destruction and before you find yourself enslaved by marijuana, you should think it over and realize why to quit smoking weed is necessary. As always said, “Smokers don’t grow old, they die young.” Same is true with smoking weed.
